Mascara, muscles and bikinis...OH MY!

Blank stare at my laptop right now. So much to share but at 5:45am all I hear is crickets outside and it's way to freaking quiet for me to think!! At 35, a  mom of 4, ages ranging from 11 years down to 10 months, working part time running the Kid Care program at Give Fitness, working my Younique Business, being a good girlfriend to my best friend and love of my life Scott as well as running a home (luckily Scott and I make a good team....most of the time haha!) life can get hectic!! Wouldn't trade it for anything...but sometimes hiding in the bathroom for a bit helps me restore my sanity. Well, apparently all this just isn't enough!!!
Since meeting Scott, his love for fitness and lifting has rubbed off on me. I enjoy hitting the gym and being pushed to my limits and learning new things. All my life I've been lean with no muscle. So, I have been working on toning up and building up my strength. With Scott and the awesome trainers at my work supporting me, I have done things I didn't think I would ever do! I follow a lot of fitness models on Instagram and Facebook and I am always impressed by their confidence and dedication. Last week I was admiring all the pictures from a recent bikini and fitness competition. Watching our small home town girls of Atascadero, Ca rock that stage!! Gorgeous!!!
I'd like you to meet Amie Moody, she is the posing and fitness coach to quite a few men and women here in SLO County. 

Pretty freaking hot huh?? I had the pleasure of meeting her last week and chatting for awhile. Wow. She knows her stuff and she doesn't mess around!!! There is nothing more inspiring than a fellow Mom who looks like THAT!
I'd also like you to meet Arlene White, another Atascadero home town girl. She recently competed in her first bikini competition and placed! Amie is her posing coach, I told you, she knows her stuff.

Arlene is gorgeous. Fit, strong, sexy and yet feminine. Total package if you ask me! Arlene and I have chatted via Facebook and I am totally looking forward to meeting her in person.
Another fabulous, fit, beautiful woman that I love to follow and another Atascadero home town girl, is Susan Graham. Scott told me that she and her husband are one of the nicest couples. I haven't met her husband, but communicating with Susan via Facebook, I have to agree!

I'm sure you're wondering where this is going? What's up with this Muscles and Mascara Life blog? Most of you know, I am the crazy Mascara Mama. I sling mascara on a daily basis. I became a Younique Presenter three months ago and it has been a life changer for me. I've never pushed myself to succeed at something as much as I have with my Younique business. And it's paid off. In three months I have received numerous promotions and pay raises and have built a successful team of almost 20 girls under me. They are all amazing and I am so stoked to share in this experience with them! Can't forget the 100+ women that are sporting my makeup, skin care but best of all, my mascara all over the country!! Stage makeup is so important in these competitions!!

I can't wait to sport it when I'm on stage next year. Wait. What the what?? Yup. Amie is now MY posing and fitness coach. We have set a goal for next year, but I'm not sharing a specific date with ya'll yet...not until it's closer. I have anxiety as I type this!! Can you say waaaaaay out of the comfort zone?? Only the women listed above and Scott have known about this. I am anxiously awaiting my meal plan from Amie and then sh**ts about to get REAL!! Meal plan. Full on six meals a day. Eating clean every three hours. Not to mention hitting the gym, six days a week. No wishy washy bs. This is real. And I'm going full force 100%. I am so blessed to have Scott and his support. He will be joining me on this journey. No, he will not be posing in a bikini, lmao, but he will be joining me in my meal plan and hitting the gym hard with me. With Amie as my coach,  Arlene offering support and answering questions from her experience and Susan following my journey on my blog....I feel amazing. Nervous. Yes. The idea of being on stage makes me want to puke. Excited? That's putting it mildly!!! We already took my "before" pictures and I can't wait to watch my progress.
So, this blog will be my journey of life as a mom, part time worker, direct sales mascara freak and girlfriend, all while working her ass off to walk confidently across that stage next year in a Pro Bikini Contest. It's not going to be easy. I get that. But it will be so worth it.
