So. Where am I at now? It's been a couple of weeks since my last blog post. I can proudly say I have been hitting the gym hard with Scott and I am seeing and feeling the changes. It's AWESOME. My diet had been 85-90% on point and I'm feeling pretty good in that department as well.....
Where am I at with my competition? I am still competing. There is no ifs, ands or maybes about that one! Am I going to compete during my original goal month? Now THAT I am not sure about. As the month rapidly approaches, I realize, as good as I am feeling, the changes I am seeing, and the muscle I am building, in reality, I still have a freaking long ass way to go. Soooo, I have revised my goal a bit. I have decided I am going to continue doing what I am doing these days. Working hard to reach my ideal physique. A body that I am 100% confident with and that I can maintain with a healthy diet that isn't overly strict as well as my everyday workouts. Once I reach THAT, I will be ready to go hardcore into my competition training. By that time (which my goal is still just a couple months out) I will be fit, strong and healthy and my competition goal could be just weeks out instead of months and months. I will continue to have posing sessions with my Coach, the more time spent on that, the better and more prepared I will be. Going with this plan makes me feel a bit more in control of everything else going on in my life as well...
Ohh......Dana Linn Bailey....she's my new obsession. Her and her husband both. What an awesome, down to earth, amazing and successful couple. When I started getting into the fitness world I started following Jessica Arevalo, who is also sponsored by LIVE FIT Apparel, which Scott and I wear all the time. She's pretty amazing with a great physique. I also started following Christmas Abott who is not only a cross fitter but also one of the first women to work the pit crew in NASCAR. She is super inspiring to watch and listen to during interviews. But just recently I told Scott to bring up DLB and her husband on YouTube. Now, I have known who she is for quite awhile. In fact months and months ago when I started this whole competition training I had ordered some workout pants through their clothing line, Flag nor Fail....which in fact I haven't worn yet now that I think about it. I did NOT like how they looked on me and I stuffed them a way some where. Anyway, I really didn't know anything about her, besides the fact that my friend and co worker at the time Ashelee was obsessed with her. I knew from looking at her online that she was an extreme body builder with abs like no other! Totally not my style. Fast forward to now. Scott and I are hooked on her and her husband!!
They are the most goofy, real and down to earth couple ever. He is 100% in love with his wife and supports her like a husband and best friend should. They have something special. Yet, when I watch them, I see Scott and I (minus the rock hard bodies haha...someday!!) and I think that's why I love them so much. Whether she is "all natural" or not, I don't care. She's gorgeous and hilarious with a banging body that shows hard work and dedication. She makes me want to strive for more than just a "bikini fit" body. Not QUITE as muscular as hers, but somewhere in between if that is possible? And Rob, starting his clothing line with $400 out of a wherehouse... with a history of winning fashion show competitions when he was in high school for his mad sewing skills. Who knew?? YouTube videos of him sewing the finishing touches on Dana's competition suit.... I love it. They are so far from just a couple of "meat heads." I see why they have the fan base that they have. But, we aren't just about their body building skills. Everyone knows Scott and I have a lot of "projects" in the works. Following them has inspired us and re-ignited another fire under our asses to get certain ones moving. We have ideas coming out of our ears and excitement in our voices when we discuss them. Stay tuned for exciting things ahead.....
Yup. She's hot. No matter what anyone says.
I shall not Flag Nor Fail
