Why is "checking in" at the gym necessary?

Haha, that makes me laugh. It's NOT necessary. Is it necessary for you to hate on people that check in at the gym on social media? Please, tell me why this bothers you so much? I've come to realize that it IS true, "haters gonna hate" no matter what. I don't know if I have "haters" but I'm pretty positive I have the annoyed eye rollers that sigh when they scroll past my status on their newsfeed. You know what I say? "Oh well!" Boom. Hardcore right there. Haha! It just doesn't bother me what others think. For me personally, I check in at the gym because it makes me happy to be there. My daily work out is my escape from life and where I can throw myself into something 100% (most of the time). It's where I can go with Scott and do something together that we both enjoy, while knowing the kids are in good hands with the Kid Care staff (for those of you that don't know me personally and are thinking "good hands at a daycare program at a gym?! Have you HEARD the stories that go on there?!" Yes, yes I have. But being that I head up the Kid Care program at our gym and have helped in hiring the PAID staff (not trade outs!) I feel 100% confident when I leave my children) and we can have "us" time. I check in, because I'm proud to be there. I check in because if I help motivate just one person to get up and do the same, then I've helped someone get on track to a healthier lifestyle. I KNOW I have inspired others, they have told me themselves, and it feels good. It's the same as my air brush tanning business. I've helped others feel better and more confident with themselves and THAT is what this is ALL about.
So. Why the haters? Are you insecure with your own lives? Jealous? Unhappy? For whatever reason it may be, there could be some changes that need to be made in your own life. I don't hate on people that don't go to the gym or eat healthy. It's a lifestyle choice. Ain't no one got time for hate! Besides the haters, I can brush them off, but what does get to me sometimes is other women acting as though we are competing with one another. Why is that? I wonder if men do the same? Whether it be via social media, at the gym or even in conversation, I feel like with some there is a competiveness that comes out. I find it amusing and I just go along with it, but really I'm thinking "You're trying to out do me and I'm over here all stoked because I added ten pounds to my leg press..." but whatever. Again, I just silently laugh it off and carry on with what I have been doing all along.

On to my progress. I started training four months ago and fell off track for almost the whole month of October. In comparing pictures from July until now, I'm seeing more definition and muscle but I can definitely tell when I fell off my diet. I was much slimmer in August when I had been doing my diet hardcore. I'm doing awesome with my workouts, but only about 75-80% sticking to my diet. It's amazing how your diet can truly make ALL the difference no matter HOW hard you train at the gym. I know what I need to do.... I'm happy with where I am at but can't help but think where I COULD be at if I was 100% on track with my diet. Junk food is evil.

As always, Scott and I are busy, busy with projects. inTANsified is booming and I couldn't be happier with the direction it is going. We are both working on launching our fitness apparel line and Scott is also working on the Find Your Purpose Project. It's going to be amazing. Watch for all these exciting things happening early next year. 2015 is going to be huge!! Working along side your best friend and love of your life that shares the same vision and dream for the future together is pretty amazing......
