Kill them with success. Bury them with a smile.

Spray tanning doesn't take a rocket scientist. It truly doesn't. Anyone can get a hold of an air brush gun, purchase some product and spray all day long in attempts to make a few bucks. Those people they sprayed then end up calling me to "fix" the streaks, the orange, the green tints and the blotches. I never say "You should have come to me first..." because well, they are here now and I am going to help them. I also would have most likely gone with the lower priced tan myself.
I am an entrepreneur. I had a vision and a passion and made sure I had all my ducks in a row before I launched my business. It's been almost a year since inTANsified Mobile Air Brush Tanning went live and I couldn't be more pleased with where my business is at. April will be ending as my record breaking month. I am not successful just because I am good at what I do. I am confident when I say my spray tan jobs are beautiful and flawless and out of all the women/men I have sprayed, I have not had one disappointed client. I'm successful because my clients can feel that I absolutely love what I do. I've blogged about this in the past. Each and every person is unique and when I see the level of confidence in them sky rocket because of ME, well nothing really beats that feeling. I have tanned every shape, size, age and ethnicity and each experience has been freakin' awesome.

Today my phone was blowing up with text messages from clients and friends asking me if I had seen someone else advertising for spray tans. I had to laugh at the protectiveness of my clients. So quick to let me know they weren't going anywhere. That's loyalty right there. Especially when this person is offering a fabulous deal! I have to respect that! Any one launching a new business has to research their competition and be competitive with their prices. Kudos to that person for sure as my current special is lowest I will ever go and they went lower than that! I love my clients, I love what I do but unless I am donating my services for a good cause, free tans is not part of my business plan haha

I had no expectations when I started inTANsified. Some entrepreneurs will say that is wrong. I should have high expectations. Why didn't I? Because I already work for a company, Give Fitness, that I absolutely love and knew in my heart that no matter how big inTANsified may get, I would never leave my Give family. inTANsified was created to add to my passion of helping others feel better about themselves, with the intentions of spray tanning fitness competitors (more exciting news on THAT in the near future! Oh yesssss) in pursuing my love for the fitness industry. Being a part of the Give Fitness family allows me to do that on a different level. My boss's and manager at Give have also been 100% supportive of my business and allow me to advertise, which in return has assisted in growing my business. I couldn't thank them enough. If I worked at ANY of my previous jobs, I would have put in my notice in the last couple months and pursued inTANsified full time. I may need to bring on an assistant in the future, but for now, I am the Wonder Woman of spray tanning. As a mom of four very active kids, working at Give, training in the gym six days a week with my wonderful, supportive boyfriend and making time for other stuff, I have set up a pretty great schedule. I block out time for dinner, I feel sitting down together at the end of the day is important, I work around the kids sports schedules, I block out mine and Scott's workouts, I block out my once a week training with my personal trainer, obviously I block out my Give Fitness hours and I keep Sunday for a family day. I will schedule tans on very special and rare occasions but I take the day off from the gym. With all that, I still average 30+ tans a week....half of those being my weekly and bi-weekly regulars. Pretty impressive eh? I couldn't do all that without the support I have from Give and my family.

 

Scott and I have big plans for inTANsified and his Podcast that will soon be launched. We also have HUGE personal fitness goals that we are kicking ass at. I embrace the competition. It lights a fire under me to be better than I was yesterday. To continue to love what I do and doing it for the same reasons that I started doing it in the first place. Not to stray from my mission of helping others feel better about themselves and boosting confidence. My clients have helped ME build my own confidence up and they don't even realize it. I will continue to run an honest business. I am a straight forward person. If you go back to when my business launched on instagram (@tan_lift_lashes_intansified) and facebook.com/intansified you can see in the beginning I used internet pictures from Google for my ads, never ever portraying the images as my own (any dumb dumb can clearly tell they were professional images) and then I began to take pictures of my clients and advertise with those. Even those images continue to get better as I've learned what lighting works best to show off a spray tan! New business owners, don't get your images off of Google spray tan images and portray them as your own. Just sayin'.... But alas, everyone goes into doing something differently. Like I mentioned earlier, embrace the competition and let the fire be lit under your ass.

To finish off I'd just like to share some of my clients pics. The first one in particular is one of my favorites. I mentioned a few months back air brush tanning a client in a wheel chair. She called me and said she wanted an air brush tan for her wedding and could it be possible if she was in a wheel chair. I told her "Heck yes it possible! We'll find a way!" Not only did I have the pleasure of tanning her, but I received a text the next day that she absolutely loved it and she was going to attempt to use braces to walk down the isle! Just a few weeks ago, I received this:

 

Her story on finding her true love was truly inspiring. Yes, this was a tear jerker moment for me!!

I tanned these lovelies for the one on the rights Bridal Shower and I will be tanning them again as well as the rest of the bridal party in just a couple weeks! Gorgeous tans on beautiful ladies!

These people are why I do this. I put a smile on their face. They put a smile on my face. Then we go spread that shit everywhere. Love life peeps. Love what you do.
