We don't need to get into the "not so great" part.... To sum it up, relationships are tough. Don't be fooled and think Scott and I never argue or get frustrated with each other. Ohhhhhh we do. And it's hard. And it's draining. No one is perfect. Nope, not even YOU. You have to decide what's important and put differences aside. So, that was the shitty part of the day.
The rest of the day got better. I met with Dustin, one of the ACF owners/coaches 45 minutes prior to the 5pm WOD starting and we talked nutrition. I had posted in the ACF FB group that I had some nutrition questions and was seeking some advice and another fellow CF member said she had the same questions. Dustin came on there and said he would like to meet with us to chat. The very next day he met with us. With all three of us having crazy busy schedules, it was a miracle that we were able to coordinate for the very next day. It was a very informative 45 minutes! I've only been an official ACF member for a couple of weeks, but in that short time I've learned so much. And to have someone take the time to sit with me and give me nutritional advice as well as educate me, on their own time, is pretty cool. So from there I had to email him some info and he will be setting up a plan to follow. And no, he's not going hardcore right off the bat. He has a good idea of what my lifestyle is like and will be working with that. Since we did our grocery shopping for the week, this will start on Sunday. Luckily this week Scott and I have started cleaning up our diet anyway, so I'm feeling pretty excited about this!
On to the WOD of the day. In a nutshell, double unders suck. I can NOT for the life of me get this down. It's all bad. I had lots of time to practice during this WOD and I didn't even clear ONE! I did really enjoy the deadlifting part of this. And towards the end of the WOD Scott showed up with Cruz and it was fun to see his little face while I was huffing and a puffing.
No, this did not happen, but since there is a meme created about it, clearly it does happen, which means next time I can be worried about this happening as well!!
On school nights we are a typically quite routine. Dinner, showers, relax and bedtime for all the kids. After CF we were invited over to Brian and Cori's for dinner. The kids were stoked as it was a school night and meant they would get to stay up later and hang with their friends awhile longer. Brian whipped up some amazing fish tacos and Cori super yummy sweet potatoes (which I don't typically care for). Even my four super picky eaters ate dinner. Sometimes it's nice to break routine and do something fun! And Scott, Cori and I may or may not have indulged in some Angry Orchard....
